Thin Wall Core Barrel
A thin wall core barrel is a tube inside a drill pipe with a thin wall that's designed for coring in medium to hard rock. They're often used in underground mining operations.
Thin Wall Core Barrels, used for surface exploration, especially mining applications. Due to their thin kerf, these core barrels provide rapid penetration.

2.Applications:

Wireline Triple Tube Barrel
A wireline triple tube barrel is a core barrel that has a third, split inner tube. It is made by adding a split, stainless steel tube inside the inner tube of a double tube wireline core barrel.
Wireline triple tube barrels are typically used in broken or fractured formations. They are designed to maximize core recovery in soft formations and meet drilling requirements of 3000 meters and above.

Double Tube Core Barrel
Double Tube Core Barrels are swivel head i.e the inner tube is attached with the core barrel head through bearings which makes the rotation of the inner tube independent of the core barrel.
Water in the double tube core barrel passes in between the outer tube and inner tube. Perforation at the lower end of the inner tube permits the flow of water. From this point to the diamond core bit represents the only place where the core is subject to erosion. This distance is very small as compared to the total length of the double tube core barrel. With the elimination of the erosion problem, it becomes possible to take core of softer and broken materials. It offers higher percentage of core recovery and little erosion of core.

• Sampling and site investigations: Terracore conventional, double tube core barrel T6S is designed for sampling and site investigations in very loose formations.
• Surface exploration: T2 series are thin wall double tube core barrels, used for surface exploration, especially mining applications.

Single Tube Core Barrel
A single tube core barrel is a tubular piece made from a single tube alloy steel. It is the simplest type of core barrel, with only one outer tube.
The single tube core barrel is the least expensive and most sturdy type of core barrel. It has a head section, core recovery tube, a reamer shell, and cutting bit.
Single Tube Core Barrels are used to bring rock samples up from drilling operations. They are often used as starter barrels at the beginning of coring operations. They are also suitable for drilling through hard and compact formations, and for homogeneous formations.

• Length extension: Can be easily extended in length when coring through thick concrete.
• Sturdiness: The least expensive and most sturdy core barrel.
• Simple coring equipment: Has a head section, core recovery tube, reamer shell, cutting bit, and bit stabilizer
• Suitable for homogeneous formations: Can be used in homogeneous formations where the core is not eroded by flushing water.
• Core drilling: Can be used for core drilling in continuous hard rock formations or for non core drilling where core recovery is not important

2.Applications:
B type: Suitable for drilling when no core examination is required, such as drilling grout holes. B type core barrels are also ideal for drilling concrete or for drilling in soft formations.
XB type: Suitable for extended concrete coring.
Medium-hard formations: A single tube female threaded core barrel with a conical reaming shell and a standard core lifter is provided in the case of medium-hard formations.
